A Capitol Fourth

Posted on by Angela Kauffman

Last year I was fortunate enough to celebrate Independence Day in Washington D.C.  It seemed like the whole city was bursting with red, white and blue pride.  There's nothing quite like being in a mass of people and celebrating your independence together by watching fireworks explode over the Washington Monument, all while sitting on the steps of the Capitol Building and listening to the National Symphony Orchestra serenade you.  This city definitely knows how to throw a party.  I'd love to visit D.C. again to take in more of the amazing sites and museums.  So much history, so much nostalgia, so much vibrancy...
