Vatican City

Posted on by Angela Kauffman

Since the election of a new Pope, all eyes have been on Rome and Vatican City lately.  I'm reminded of my visit to Vatican City and how surprised I was by the amount of beauty there.  The Vatican Museums are packed to the brim with breathtaking art and history and the surrounding city is dripping with Italian atmosphere.  I'd love to visit again someday.  But for now, let's visit in pictures, shall we?

Rome: For the Architecture of It

Posted on by Angela Kauffman

Great food, amazing history, beautiful sunshine...all things that would make Rome a top destination to visit. Many probably don’t think of Rome's architecture as its top draw, but for some of us (those with a couple of architects in the family and a brief past stint in art history), the city’s architectural history is mesmerizing.  I mean, just look at those Corinthian, Doric and Ionic columns!  Anyway, even the casual admirer can enjoy Rome’s great architectural gems…
